Learn and practice safe and effective standing and mat exercises that form the pillars of bone-healthy movement! The workout is designed to warm up your cardiovascular system, improve posture and balance, increase strength and flexibility, and reduce your risk for falls. You will need: a sturdy chair, a mat, hand-held weights, a resistance band, and pillows or towels to cushion your bones while on the mat. This is a 10-class series: Wednesdays 1:00 - 2:00pm; July 31- October 9 2024 (no class 9/4). Class series fee: $55

We use the following equipment:
*Two sets of hand-held weights: a lighter set (1 to 3 pounds each - soup cans work in a pinch), and a heavier set (4- to 8-pound), depending on your current strength.
*Two resistance bands: one with less resistance (easier to stretch) and one with more resistance (for strength training).
*Optional: Ankle weights (1 to 3 pounds each).
